Make Kin not Babies (AT)

A tragicomedy about the absurd beauty of human relationships, caught between lived utopias and familial bonds. Renowned choreographer Sue (48) retreats with her close-knit dance company to a countryside residency at an old manor house to rehearse a new piece. For the first time, her 17-year-old son Michel joins the group, a young musician who is to be part of the performance. When Sue realizes that her most important dancer, Eduard (29), is falling in love with Michel and that Michel does not reject his advances, she must confront her own jealousy: secretly, she herself harbors feelings for the bisexual Eduard. As Sue’s emotions intensify, the entire company is drawn into the chaos, with the production becoming louder, more complex, and physically exhausting. When a rehearsal accident caused by Michel threatens the entire project, matters worsen with the sudden arrival of Tobi (51) Michel’s manic-depressive father, who is determined to win Sue back.
